TILT BOARD HOUSEKEEPING
What happened?Whilst pulling back side curtains, a tilt board fell out of its brackets and struck the employee on his wrist and then fell to the floor. No injuries were sustained in this case but could have been a much worse incident.
Recommendations
Prior to opening side curtains, check the inside of the trailer and ensure all tilt boards are securely in place
If tilt boards have to be removed, ensure they are placed neatly and SAFELY to one side to avoid creating further tripping hazards:
