Zero Tolerance on Unauthorized Passengers

In order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone visiting and working at Tata sites, please be reminded we have a Zero Tolerance policy in place on all unauthorized passengers including minors, and the below process will be operated and enforced at all sites:-

  • Any trailer with an unauthorised passenger will be turned away without loading for 24hrs.
  • No passengers are to be dropped outside Tata sites; drivers who have been seen dropping a passenger will be rejected and refused loading for 24hrs.
  • P&O Operations will be contacted immediately – we will then allocate the load to an alternative vehicle.

Second drivers, trainee or apprentice drivers and attendants (for over width or over length loads)

Second drivers and trainee or apprentice drivers will be accepted on production of:-

  • Company Identity Card
  • Driving Licence
  • Tachograph or digi-card
  • Relevant Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
