Slips, Trips and Housekeeping
Keeping walkways and areas underfoot clean, tidy and free from debris is a simple but effective way in preventing slip and trip incidents, which could result in an injury:
- Make sure drivers have access to a broom
- Remove all packaging, product or rubbish from the trailer beds.
- Dispose of rubbish and waste responsibly and use rubbish and recycling facilities
- Ensure coil wells are clean and well boards put back correctly.
- Ensure straps and ratchets are coiled neatly and placed at the rear of the trailer.
- Report any areas or equipment with trip hazards to a Supervisor or your Manager.
- Be aware of your surroundings , look after yourself and others.
