Rearwards Strapping

Rearwards strapping

Unfortunately we see many recurring incidents caused by insufficient securing mainly in rearwards direction. This results in damages, complaints from customers, additional costs to re-stow, illegal movements and safety concerns.

Movements by sea / ferry and increasingly by rail in Europe, place additional forces on the cargo.

Please follow these simple steps:-

1. “Say no, ask to re-stow” in case drivers are not satisfied with the load to be collected because there are gaps in between, downwards pressure cannot achieved, the load is unstable, not positioned correctly or the load may move during transit.

2. Cross strap loads at the rear (bags, octabins, pallets). This will prevent rear movement and rear toppling
