During the last quarter we unfortunately suffered our 2nd lost time injury.

Following on from this, it is appropriate to highlight a few basic safety rules for Drivers to adhere to.

Drivers need to consider their own and others safety when they arrive at Customer site. By following the simple rules below Drivers can contribute to their own on site care:

Driver Safety & Welfare whilst on site

• Follow site rules given at site/local induction

• Stay in cabs when waiting in queues to load. Do not leave the cab and wander around site.

• Stick to the designated walkways on site.

• Wear the appropriate PPE at all times.

• During loading, stay in the Safe Havens located at every Tata loading bay

• During trailer preparation and close up, use correct equipment and use it correctly!!

• Stand trailer drivers – always book in at local office so Customer knows you are on site

• Always apply trailer park brake when dropping off empty trailers

• Welfare facilities are available at all Tata sites for Drivers – Use them!!
